Residential Compact Fluorescent Lighting Quick Start Program

The Residential Compact Fluorescent Lighting (CFL) Quick Start Program is an energy efficiency program designed to educate and influence Entergy Arkansas, Inc. residential customers to purchase and use ENERGY STAR-qualified CFLs in their homes.

Who Is Eligible?

The Residential CFL Program is offered to all Entergy Arkansas* residential electric service customers. In addition, any retailer who sells ENERGY STAR rated CFLs is eligible to participate in the program.

What Are The Program Benefits?

Program benefits include providing coupons to consumers to “buy-down” the cost of CFLs, educating customers about CFL benefits and advantages over incandescent lighting, and motivating retailers and dealers to promote the energy savings and cost savings benefits of CFLs.

How Does The Program Work?

During the course of the Quick Start period, December 2007 – December 2009, all Entergy Arkansas customers will receive a coupon to be used to discount the price of ENERGY STAR-rated CFLs when purchased at participating retailers.

What Are The Incentives?

The program incentive consists of one coupon for $3.00 off a three or four pack of ENERGY STAR-rated CFL bulbs and one coupon for $4.00 off a five or more pack of ENERGY STAR-rated CFL bulbs.

What Does The Program Cost?

Customers pay nothing to participate in the program. Entergy Arkansas provides the program coupons. The financial investment that any customer makes is for the ENERGY STAR-rated CFL bulbs that they purchase with their discount coupons.
